Capturing the value embedded in waste to create financial, economic, social, and environmental benefits, the circular economy sees waste as an opportunity to unlock the waste economy. By embracing opportunities presented by this system, participants could eventually form part of a through large scale waste programmes to increase the amount of waste being upcycled or recycled, and to reduce waste being transported to the waste sites. From a broader perspective, the circular economy gives us the power to grow prosperity, jobs, and resilience while cutting greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and pollution.
